Core Values

Core Values express those convictions and practices rooted in the Word of God that we cherish most as a church. While we do not list every value we cherish, we do present eight that are of paramount importance to the community life of Grace.

Explanation of Christ
We seek as our highest purpose to honor and exalt our Lord Jesus Christ. We give ourselves to this purpose through individual and corporate praise & worship and through our lives; a church set apart for His use and His glory.

Adherence to the Scriptures
We seek to build our lives on God’s flawless Word, the Bible. We measure success in terms of character and conduct in conformity to God’s standards and principles as revealed in the Scriptures. We are committed to promoting such success in our midst through instruction and examples that are faithful to God’s Word.

Promotion of Spiritual Growth
We seek to stimulate one another to pursue God and things dear to Him. We strive for a church life rich with opportunity to deepen our relationship with Christ, to learn of heavenly things, and to grow more like Christ Himself.

Encouragement for all to Serve
We seek to mobilize every member to take part in the work God has given the church. Recognizing the church, like a living organism, needs all its parts actively and properly working for the whole for any part to prosper. We encourage all to participate in ministry according to the gifts, abilities and direction God has given each.

Support for Families
We seek to affirm, strengthen and empower families, that they might realize all the potential of God’s wonderful and unique design for them. Called to be light in a world where family failure has become the norm, we strive to apply God’s principles to family life, offer models of strong happy marriages & families, and provide an environment that fosters love, unity, order & joy in the families in our midst.

Nurturing Friendships
We seek to connect with one another in genuine caring relationships that build on our spiritual unity in Christ. We eagerly embrace Christ’s command to love one another and seek for opportunities to obey that command in our lives together.

Leadership Development
We seek to help God’s people develop leadership skills. Leadership qualifications are based on character, a willingness to serve others humbly and is crucial for the church to complete its mission.

Reaching the Lost
We seek to extend ourselves to those around us who do not yet know Christ. Realizing God’s love for lost people, we make ourselves available to love them, serve them and win them. We are challenged by Christ’s charge to proclaim to the world the life-giving message of His death for men’s sins. We seek for ways to impart that message to our friends, our community, and people around the world.
